A Bit About Me
Born and raised in the charming Farmington Valley in Connecticut, I grew up reading all of the children's beloved classics by authors like Roald Dahl, Shel Silverstein, A.A. Milne, E.B. White and many more. I have always had a love for storytelling which, until now have only shared with my own two children, telling them animated bedtime stories and writing fun rhyming tales. My first published children's books, Truly's adventures were inspired by all of the fun and magical activities that happen The Storyteller's Cottage, a unique literary themed venue in Simsbury, CT. Joining the staff there has given me the opportunity to do something I have always dreamed about, writing fun stories for kids!
My Real Inspiration
When I became a mom, everything changed. I got to see the world through the eyes of a child again. What a different world it is! Watching my kids learn through play and exploration is so inspiring. Their uninhibited minds just go for anything without questioning if it will succeed, embarrass them, or even possibly hurt them. You don't know until you try, right? I think I have learned more from them than I could ever teach them. Do I know if writing will bring me financial success? I have no idea. What I do know is that it brings me and my kids joy, so I decided IÂ am going to do it anyway.
